NurdBunny

New colors available for the dog hat and scarf set at NurdBunny.com! The Snuggly Skull Set now comes in pink as well as baby blue in addition to the midnight color schemes! I’m not 100% sure of the weather conditions globally, but here in Michigan, it’s super-duper cold! We have quite a bit of time left before it warms up so we figured we’d throw in our last color combinations for the season. Once winter is over, these sets won’t be posted back up until the end of the year. As far as dog clothes go, these hat & scarf sets have proved to be the most useful so far! And we can’t help it if they’re just so darn cute! 🙂

Why Buy Handmade?

October 5, 2008
• Better quality fabric!
• Better quality construction!
• LOVE & patience goes into each & every item!
• Every piece is unique!
• Made in the U.S.A

Many small dog breed owners shopping for their furry babies wonder whether to purchase handmade clothing or mass manufactured. There are several differences between the two that can affect your choice, so it’s important to understand them all. The first major difference is price. A lot of people don’t want to spend a ton of money on clothing for their canine, but handmade dresses, hoodies and jackets are typically going to be more expensive. Yet here at NurdBunny, we’ve made the choice to keep the cost for the consumer in an attainable range, while managing to provide the highest quality custom items. It’s not unusual, for example, to spend $60 on one hand-knitted sweater at some handmade boutiques. A mass produced sweater, on the other hand, will go for about $15.

Another major difference is quality of fabric and material. An inexpensive knit sweater for example, is much more apt to unravel after extended use than a handmade one. This is because people spend more time if their knitting each and every piece of apparel by hand. Mass production calls for speed, so sometimes the work is not as tight or durable. This is also true of the stitching on jackets, coats and dresses. After half way through a winter season, the stuffing may start to spill out a bit from wear and tear whereas a tighter stitching on a handmade item will last longer.

With NurdBunny handmade canine apparel, each item is definitely “unique”. Since everything is screenprinted by hand, there will always be subtle differences between same items. With our custom pieces, our custom also guarantees individuality through color choices and imprint personalization options that set their purchased garment apart from the many others. Where else could one go and choose the fabric color, design color and add their dog’s name to the outfit? Certainly not Petco or your corner petshop boutique! Nowhere else other than NurdBunny.com can supply the consumer freedom of choice to define their dog’s wardrobe.
